And, finally, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have joined Bollywood’s married couple’s club. The wedding was an intimate affair with only family and close friends in attendance. It took place at Ranbir Kapoor’s house Vastu. The Internet went into a collective meltdown when Alia aka Mrs Kapoor shared pictures from the ceremony. Our hearts burst with joy after seeing the newlyweds. The showstopper moment of the evening was when Ranbir carried Alia in his arms on their way back to the house after greeting the paparazzi. The two, literally, painted the town red with their infectious smile and the joy in their eyes.
Well, we can’t miss the star-studded guest list either. From Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Karan Johar to family members, Kareena Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, everyone stepped out in their fashionable best for the special day.
Starting with the groom’s mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor. She went for a classy multi colour lehenga choli set by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. She teamed it with a heavy necklace.
Next, we have Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. She made heads turn in a classic Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation. The mandala skirt featured was hand-embroidered with gold mirror zardozi work. Along with this, Riddhima picked a crystal and tassel blouse. She rounded up her look with a cape.
Now, it’s time to take a look at the Kapoor sisters. Yes, we are talking about Karisma and Kareena. Both of them went with Manish Malhotra couture for the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt wedding. Kareena Kapoor picked a baby pink colour organza saree from Manish Malhotra’s Khaab collection. The number featured real zari embroidery. Accessories? A statement set and a potli bag. That’s all.
And, Karisma Kapoor looked radiant in a white saree with an orange blouse. The number featured heavy zari work on the borders. In terms of jewellery, Karisma ditched the mainstream necklace. A pair of earrings and a matha patti.
It’s time for team Bride now. Alia Bhatt’s parents, director Mahesh Bhatt and veteran actress Soni Razdan wore Sabyasachi for their daughter’s big day. Simple and elegant.
Karan Johar stole the show in an all-pink kurta pyjama set by Manish Malhotra. The finely tailored out featured tiny mirror work all over.
Navya Naveli Nanda kept it cool and refreshing in a lime green organdy applique saree with a turquoise sleeveless collar blouse.
Navya’s mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda made a starry entry in a vintage maya saree. She teamed it with bugle beaded blouse. Both the outfits were from Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla’s couture.
